The Philippine Consulate General in Istanbul (PCG Istanbul) informs Filipino citizens residing in the provinces of Istanbul, Balıkesir, Bilecik, Bursa, Çanakkale, Edirne, Kocaeli, Kırklareli, Sakarya, Tekirdağ and Yalova, which are under its jurisdiction, that registration for the 2022 Philippine National Elections will be conducted at the Consulate premises from 15 June 2021 to 30 September 2021.  All qualified Filipino citizens who are not yet registered overseas voters may file their applications for registration.  Under Republic Act No. 9189 as amended by Republic Act No. 10590, all citizens of the Philippines abroad, who are not disqualified by law, at least eighteen (18) years of age on 09 May 2022, and who are registered overseas voters, may vote for President, Vice-President, Senators and Party-List Representatives during the said elections.

To register, Filipino citizens residing within Istanbul PCG’s jurisdiction must first get an appointment by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or via Facebook, download and fill up the overseas voter registration form from the PCG website and then personally appear during office hours for biometrics capturing at the:

Kindly bring the following requirements: (1) photocopy of valid Philippine passport or for seamen, copy of seaman’s book and (2) accomplished overseas voter registration form.  Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, applicants are required to comply with public health regulations when visiting the Consulate. 

Filipino citizens who have previously registered as overseas voters with the Philippine Embassy in Ankara DO NOT have to register again with PCG Istanbul.
