The Philippines has rolled-out the e-Travel Customs System for the following International airports effective 10 May 2024:

     1) Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Manila)

     2) Puerto Princesa International Airport

     3) Kalibo International Airport

     4) Caticlan International Airport

     5) Mactan-Cebu International Airport

     6) Bohol International Airport

     7) Francisco Bangoy International Airport (Davao)

     8) Clark International Airport

     9) Laoag International Airport

All arriving and departing passengers are required to accomplish the electronic Customs Baggage Declaration Form (e-CBDF) and electronic Currencies Declaration Form (e-CDF), as applicable, through the e-Travel website at https://etravel.gov.ph or by downloading the eGovPH application within 72 hours prior to arrival in or departure from the Philippines.

Starting 10 May 2024, only one (1) QR code shall be used in the e-Travel System for seamless travel clearance.

Upon arrival or departure, passengers shall present their passports to the Immigration Officer for e-Travel registration confirmation, and the QR code to the Customs Officer for clearance. Paper forms of the CBDF and CDF shall still be made available at the Customs Area for passengers who have failed to access the e-Travel website before arrival into or departure from the Philippines.

The following rules on cross-border movement of currencies shall be strictly implemented:

  1. Any person who brings into or takes out of the Philippines, foreign currency in excess of USD10,000 or its equivalent, is required to declare the whole amount brought into or taken out of the Philippines in the e-CDF.
  2. For Philippine currency, a person may bring into or take out of the Philippines an amount not exceeding PHP50,000. Amounts in excess of the limit shall require: (a) prior written authorization from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)1; and (b) declaration of the whole amount brought into or taken out of the Philippines in the e-CDF.

False declaration or Non-declaration of Philippine or foreign currencies and monetary instruments shall result in the confiscation of the monetary instruments by the authorities. END
