Istanbul, Türkiye, 20 May 2024 – Consul General Shirlene C. Mananquil paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Mayor of Beşiktaş Municipality, Mrs. Özge Önsen Belen, on 16 May 2024. The visit aimed to discuss enhancing cooperation between the Philippine Consulate and the Beşiktaş Municipality.

The meeting followed the recently concluded Disaster Preparedness Seminar for the Filipino community on 5 May 2024, which marked the first collaborative activity between the two offices this year.

Both parties discussed proposed activities in line with this year's commemoration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day and the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and Türkiye. END
