Ambassador and Foreign Relations Advisor Turan Calls on PH Consul General Mananquil

Istanbul, Türkiye — Retired Ambassador Mustafa Osman Turan, Foreign Relations Advisor to the Mayor of Istanbul, called on the Philippine Consul General Shirlene C. Mananquil today to discuss future collaborations. The meeting included discussions about the upcoming 75th Anniversary of Bilateral Relations between the Philippines and Türkiye next year, as well as the preparations for the first-ever Megacities Summit in Istanbul in October. 

Consul General Mananquil and Ambassador Turan also explored various cultural diplomacy projects aimed at fostering greater understanding and goodwill between the Philippines and Türkiye, specifically exploring possible sister city agreements that will set the stage to a strengthened partnership and cooperation in the months and years ahead.
